Forum: classic_tv Subject: Does anyone have any episodes of "Consider Your Verdict"?

This was a primitive Australian drama series which lasted for 163 episodes, nearly all of which survive. I am pretty sure it is slowly entertaining the public domain under Australia's 50-year-copyright terms for television.

The series itself is said to be very VERY slow-paced, but hey, who cares?

Does anyone have any episodes of it that could be uploaded when they become PD?

How about episodes of "Six O'Clock Rock" or "Autumn Affair"? Hell, anything Australian and public domain would be nice. This section is far too US-centric (a problem that applies with many sections on the Internet Archive).

On a less positive note, it's 2:30AM and I have a headache, can't get to sleep, and feeling so dizzy that I cannot watch TV.

But I will attempt to watch something from 1950s US that I hope to upload.....let's just say the episode was sponsored by RCA and the series was popular......with adults?!

(I have a question. Let's say a I bought a DVD of a British show in 2012. Let's say that 5 years later the episodes become public domain. Can I rip the episodes from the DVD and upload it here when the episodes become PD?)

I have no information on the US centric content, but have some unsolicited medical advice. If dizzyness is a continuing problem I suggest you try reducing your salt intake. I suffered with Meniere’s for several years before finding what stopped it. The symptoms included headaches, severe dizziness and ringing ears. Doctors don’t seem to like telling you because they cannot prescribe “Cut you salt and fast food!” but it was a miracle cure for me.
Sorry for the interruption but when someone says “dizzy” I say “cut the salt”.

Thanks for the advice, though the dizzyness may have been due to me being awake for over 24 hours.

I've had Meniere's myself for a few years now. At first I was scared but now when I feel it coming on it just makes me angry. That stuff you said about the salt, well, I'm going to give that a try. Meniere's sucks. Thanks for posting that.

Hope it helps; I'll emphasize it, "Miracle cure for me!" I went from spending two days in bed in a dark room to almost never feeling the room tumble. Stairs are still interesting sometimes, (am I walking up the side of a wall or down a stairway?)
Prepared Chicken soup is full of salt and so are most packaged foods. Check the contents of everything you eat and cut out the fast foods until you know their salt contents.
Now, thanks for the 1950’s commercials Your Highness, I had forgotten some of them.

I'm sure it's worth a try. I'm sick and tired of these dizzy spells hitting me where ever and when ever.
